Sifted’s COVID-19 Response

We started Sifted five years ago with the mission to become the outsourced chef team to inspiring brands across the country. Our partnerships thrive because we operate as an extension of the teams we serve, with exciting menus, engaging hosts, and a needed pause in the workday where we come together and share a great meal.

We are committed to the health and safety of our team members and to continuing to provide the service our clients have come to trust. Every Sifted employee is ServeSafe certified, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of food safety and operational excellence. Our operations and culinary teams have worked together to enhance our guidelines to reduce the possibility of community spread and serve a safe and healthful lunch.

Here’s what we’ve implemented:

  • Everyone on the Sifted operations and culinary teams has undergone retraining on proper handwashing techniques and glove use.
  • During service, our hosts replace + sanitize serving utensils every 15 minutes.
  • Our Hosts will be sent on-site with extra gloves, sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer for their own use during service.
  • We deploy hand sanitizer stations to every service area.
  • We equip our clients with proper handwashing signage.
  • Our kitchen staff takes mandatory hourly handwashing breaks.
  • We sanitize every prep and high-touch surface multiple times per shift.
  • Any staff that experiences any symptoms of COVID-19 illness will self-quarantine and not return to work until cleared by their doctor

Our team is closely monitoring the situation and heeding the advice of health experts at the CDC and WHO as well as our federal, state, and local authorities. As things progress, we won't hesitate to close our kitchens if that’s the best course of action for our communities.

In the meantime, as we continue to serve our clients and offices continue to close, no food will ever go to waste. Sifted maintains our commitment to our communities through leftover donations to help feed hungry families across America.

Take care of each other, and do all things with love. We’re in this together.
